Why do blockchains need data oracles like SEOR? What use cases are their for SEOR, is it just for DeFI or can it be used for more?
Winnie Wen: Well Nice question
The information we see in Blockchain is organized, standardized, and credible.
However, the real world is disordered, complex, and unreliable.
Oracle is a mechanism used to ensure that the data inputted into smart contracts are credible, essentially a bridge connecting the real world and blockchain systems.π
We hope that through this bridge, we are able to surpass the traditional limitations of the Internet and enter a new era with Blockchain as the infrastructure.π
As a bridge for data interaction between the blockchain and the real world, the oracle has many application scenarios.
It can be said that all dApps that need to interact with the data under the chain need an oracle.
Such as financial derivatives trading platforms, lending platforms, express tracking/IoT, stable coins, games, insurance, prediction markets, etc.
Saigon π | OIG: Yes it makes sense! Data aggregation and integration is one of the integral parts of making a system such as DeFi work.
Can you outline the technical aspect of SEOR, what technology are you using this is unique? Is it safe and reliable? What are its limitations?
Winnie Wen: Well, Firstly, I will introduce our unique technical features
The first one: Dexterous short chain technology
In order to support the unique LON system, we developed technology to quickly verify and store the authentication of data.
Lightweight Short Chain is a ledger model that draws on the architecture of light nodes.
Rather than retaining all historical information, it only retains the most recent continuous block, which is used for data synchronization and provides access to the cache.π
The historical data prior to the previous block will be removed and only the certification information will be retained.
Second one: Front Micro Oracle machine
In order to support the original LON system
The BFT consensus is adopted, and the Lightweight Short Chain is used as the ledger fabric model to build a lightweight blockchain system
Allowing data suppliers to quickly build a set of trusted data collection systems and connect to the SEOR mainnet to verify.
The system provides a credible consensus mechanism on the premise that the performance and capacity of the data suppliers are affected as little as possible
Which can effectively prevent wrong or malicious data from entering the Oracle system in advance.π
Then, I will introduce the technologies SEOR support with:
The first one: Layered Modular Microservice Architecture
Similar to the current mainstream Internet SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) service and microservice architecture technology in the blockchain main chain system application
Second: Cross-chain Governance
Support multiple chains; unlike most ecosystem, there is no need to join to participate in governance. We can support broader and wider blockchain protocols.π
Saigon π | OIG: Gotcha! So one of the core mechanisms is selecting important certification data within blocks and retaining that data thereby increasing the efficiency of the entire system through no longer carrying less important data.
Who are the core team behind this project? What experience and connections do they have in the industry?
Winnie Wen: Well. I am the Marketing Lead of SEOR.
Iβm responsible for global business development as well as solution implementation.
I am the Deputy Director of the Chinese Academy of Science Blockchain Laboratory of Research and Application Operations and Development Centre.
I completed my Master of Arts in Business Management and Marketing and my Master of Science in International Fashion Marketing at Heriot-Watt University.
And I have also obtained over 10 years of experience in global e-commerce marketing and development.

Can you tell us a little about $SEOR, what is its role within the project? Why would our community want to own it? When can we get our hands on it?
Winnie Wen: Sure
Simply put, the mechanism we applied and the role we acted is similar to the economic model of Polkadot
But we will be more opened and allow multiple ecosystems to govern together
Next, I will briefly explain the usage scenarios of SEOR Token and the three main roles in the SEOR network
Data verifier: Pledge SEOR to become a mainnet node
Data provider: Pledge SEOR to become a data supplier
Data user: Use SEOR to obtain data service
Data verifiers and suppliers need to use SEOR as a node and provide services, the consumed SEOR will be untaken by Mainnet nodes and data suppliers in a certain ratio
At the same time, if some nodes are identified to do harm to project, their staked tokens will be confiscated for punishment.
Our token will be issued in the coming days, and our IDO is ready to launch.

Why did you choose to integrate with the Polkadot network?
Winnie Wen: Our goal is to build a completely decentralized oracle network.
The network nodes are compatible with various public chains (i.e. ETH, DOT) and support modularization.
Each part of the system supports upgrades and effectively reduces the technical development difficulty for Internet developers to implement the application of blockchain technology.
It also allows for the technical development of major public chain ecological technicians to cross-chain to other public chain technology research and development.
We will have a low-code platform to solve the cross-chain problem of smart contracts as well as a demonstration of how to use the oracle in smart contracts.
In the early stage, this platform will be completed primarily based on the Polkadot ecosystem, cutting into the DOT ecosystem to reach their business flow.
Through b2b, then b2c, we will reach a wider market. Afterwards, more public chains will be supported, including Ethereum, Polygon, BSC, Solana, Avalanche, Cardano, etc.
Saigon π | OIG: Very big roadmap you have ahead of you! And it is a very calculated development phase that you are doing to ensure that the original support for Polkadot is completely set up before moving onto other chains!
What have you achieved so far that we should know about?
Winnie Wen: Our first version of the public chain development progress has been completed 90%; the first middleware platform dApp-LCDP has also been launched in beta.π
In the recent public beta activity, for the whitelist application, we have more than 35k participants, more than 3,200 independent addresses have deployed contracts on it
More than 1,900 independent addresses have flashcast NFT on it
We did make a good start in launching these public events to interact with our community
In terms of business cooperation, we have reached basic ecological cooperation with Polkadot and Polygon, and currently advancing the cooperation in public chain ecologies such as The Graph, Avalanche, Cardano and Solana.
SEOR Web3 Foundation Grant for milestone 2 has been delivered and approved! Our goal of completing the construction of Web 3.0 infrastructure is getting one step closer!π₯³

Low-code development platform (LCDP) is a development platform that can quickly generate applications without coding (zero code or no code) or with a small amount of code.
Its power lies in allowing end users to develop their own applications using easy-to-understand visual tools rather than the traditional way of writing code.
Build required functions such as business processes, logic, and data models, and add your own code if necessary.
One of the important goals of SEORβs LCDP platform is to effectively reduce the technical cost of ecological technicians of major public chain
When they cross to other public chains, as well as the difficulty of technical development and application implementation for traditional Internet developers to the blockchain world
